Comedian Katt Williams has officially been charged with misdemeanor battery for allegedly punching a woman, reports TMZ.

Williams (Micah Williams) was arrested after officers were called to the Sportsmen’s Lodge at Ventura Boulevard back on July 24, after a female employee reported being in an altercation with the actor/comedian. The unidentified woman reportedly suffered a minor injury following the dispute, Los Angeles Police Sgt. Gary Chilingarian said. Williams, 44, was booked on a misdemeanor count of battery and was held on $20,000 bail, until being released around 4 p.m. that day.

This latest charge is just one of many for the clearly troubled comedian and star of Scary Movie 5. In June, the comedian was arrested after allegedly getting into a fist fight with a 17-year-old in Georgia. Just his past March, he was arrested for allegedly choking his bodyguard at his Atlanta home. According to 11Alive, authorities executed a search warrant at Williams’ home after his bodyguard, Corey Dixon, filed a report alleging that the funnyman assaulted him and held him against his will. That incident came just days after he was attacked at a Beanie Sigel concert in Philadelphia. And that altercation came on the heels of Williams and Kevin Hart getting into a brief feud. Williams called Hart a “puppet” and challenged him to a $5 million comedy duel. Williams later apologized to Hart.

If convicted, Williams faces up to six months in jail.
