JAY-Z and Fat Joe have teamed up to aid in relief efforts for Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria devastated the island last week.

Announced on Thursday (Sept. 28), Tidal X: Puerto Rico initiative was announced, through which a charter plane will be loaded with supplies to aid in the aftermath of the storm. Most of the 3.4 million people who live on the island have been without electricity, so hospitals ahve been struggling to operate. Just two days ago, Pitbull charted a plane to assist in getting cancer patients off the island. Thousands have been rendered homeless, and are in desperate need of drinking water, food and fuel. People have urged President Trump to step up his relief efforts for the island, including Rihanna and Lin Manuel-Miranda, who were exasperated by his slow-going, bungled, dismissive response to assisting the island.

"Don't let your people die like this," Rihanna pressed on Twitter.

Tidal's partnership to assist in Puerto Rico finds the streaming company teaming with Governor Andrew Cuomo.

"Tidal, in partnership with [New York] Governor Andrew Cuomo's Empire State Relief and Recovery Effort, has announced the start of the TIDAL X: Puerto Rico initiative with the charter of a cargo plane that will bring much needed supplies to aid in the recovery and relief in Puerto Rico," the company said in a statement Thursday. "Leaving on Friday, October 7th, this first plane will carry 200,000 pounds of batteries, flashlights, portable lanterns, diapers, baby wipes, cases of water and feminine hygiene products."

Fat Joe announced that he'll be participating in the effort as well via Instagram, promising to deliver the items collected via a donation drive to Puerto Rico himself.

"As the humanitarian crisis in Puerto Rico grows, our brothers and sisters are desperate for our help," he wrote.  "Please join myself, TIDAL, Governor Cuomo, and Ruben Diaz Jr. as we collect and transport much-needed supplies to the island. The goal is to fill and send as many cargo planes as possible.  Donate or find your local drop-off location and help save lives. Head to TIDAL.com/PuertoRico. If you are in the New York area we are collecting non perishable items such as water, batteries, can foods, diapers, baby wipes, canned formula, etc. on September 30th at the Jacob Javits Center. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart and I promise all these items will be delivered by ME personally to Puerto Rico."
