Is The El Camino Coming Back?

So here's the sitch. I've heard a ton of rumors about classic cars making a come back that have all turned out to be hoaxes. Please tell  me this one isn't just a lame story someone made up just to mess with me. I need this in my life. I LOVE the classic El Camino. There are a lot of rumors all over the internet that it will be making a come back soon. I've seen a lot of these rumors come with a ton of what seemed like reliable sources and turn out to be fake so I have no earthly idea what to believe. Hell, I heard that it was supposed to be a part of the 2017 Chevrolet line up but I have yet to see it. I guess I'm just really hoping it got delayed or something. A guy can dream right? Someone please enlighten me if you know anything.
