Sam Logan is a longtime friend of mine. Most people know him for his record store “Endless Horizons” by Odessa College. It’s hard to miss it with its wild paint job radiating for all to see.

Even if you’ve never bought a record from there you’ve probably bought concert tickets from on several occasions. It’s been the place to go to get tickets to ANYTHING in the 432 for as long as I can remember. Record stores are disappearing left and right but Sam and Endless Horizons is celebrating their 40th anniversary here in the Permian Basin.

Endless Horizons is an Odessa icon. Sam inherited the store from his father when he passed away just a few years ago and I like to think that his dad would be extremely proud of him today. Endless Horizons is way more than just an old record store. It’s a part of Odessa history and for owner Sam Logan, it’s his father’s legacy living on. Next time you hear about an event going on, be sure to check and see if Endless Horizons is carrying tickets and help support local business. Grab some music while you’re there and tell Sam that Brizzown says hi.
