Elf on the Shelf Ideas?

My son is 13 and Elf on the Shelf wasn't a thing when he was young. I wish it was because I think it's so much fun. Luckily, my step son is 7 this year and he LOOOOOVES Elf on the Shelf. My son may be too old to believe in it but he has fun playing along with the younger boy in the family.

That brings me to you guys. This is my first year doing Elf on the Shelf for someone and like anything I do, I want to straight murder it. I need you guys to throw me some ideas. I've heard a few that were pretty awesome but I can always use more. I appreciate any ideas you can give me. Feel free to share this. Maybe your friends and family can toss some great ideas my way as well. Thank you guys in advance.
