Macklemore drew a lot of ire from the hip-hop community for posting a screenshot on Instagram of his apology text to Kendrick Lamar for taking the Best Rap Album win at the 2014 Grammy Awards. List Drake under that list of detractors.

The Toronto native, who previously won the Best Rap Album Grammy for 'Take Care' in 2013, tells Rolling Stone that he thought Macklemore's text message was "wack as f---." The OVO founder questions the legitimacy of the infamous text.

"I was like, 'You won. Why are you posting your text message? Just chill. Take your W, and if you feel you didn't deserve it, go get better -- make better music,'" Drake reasons. "It felt cheap. It didn't feel genuine. Why do that? Why feel guilt? You think those guys would pay homage to you if they won?"

Drake's comments come despite his supposed cold war against Lamar. Despite the hoopla surrounding the text, the 'good kid, m.A.A.d city' creator seems like one of the few who are level-headed about what Macklemore wrote. While Lamar hasn't said much about the message, he does believe Macklemore deserved the Grammy win. "It's well-deserved; he did what he did, man," he told XXL. “He went out there and hustled and grinded. Everything happens for a reason; the universe comes back around, that’s how it go.”

The 'Worst Behavior' rhymer also quipped that Lamar being the only one to receive an apology text is a snub in itself to the other nominees. "To name just Kendrick? That s--- made me feel funny. No, in that case, you robbed everybody. We all need text messages!"
