Door-To-Door Salespeople:How Do You Deal With Them

'Hi, my name is.....' I heard those words and before you know it, 30 minutes later I'm hearing some spiel about how I should get my yard sprayed for insects and pests.

Door-to-door salespeople, solicitors, whatever you choose to call them....my question is, how do you get RID of them, politely? I had one come by my house earlier this week and the first words out of my mouth were, 'I'm not interested thank you.'

You would think I had said, 'please, tell me more...' because that's exactly what she did! So at that point I would feel rude interrupting her little speech. My hubby said I should have been more stern and repeated myself, instead I listened to the entire pitch and STILL turned her down. I'm sorry I have no need for magazine subscriptions, security systems, children's books or to have my carpet cleaned but thank you anyway! Ugghhhh help! For future reference, how do you get rid of them?
