Don’t Call Me Ma’am – Leo and Rebecca Buzz Question

Leo and Rebecca BUZZ QUESTION...My wife was out having coffee with her friends, and I met up with them because we were going out for lunch later. When I sat down my wife was talking about how much she hates being called ma'am. She says "ma'am" is for old ladies, and she's NOT an old lady. She told her waiter 'Please don't call me ma'am'. WOW....I was like really?? I told her I didn't think 'ma'am ' was bad at all. Thoughts??
