Britney Spears recently called off her engagement to Jason Trawick -- and now she's given back the ring, too.

The rock, which cost roughly $90,000, is a drop in the bucket for BritBrit, who is slated to rake in more than $100 million a year very soon.

The 'Toxic' singer voluntarily handed over her ring to Trawick, who didn't ask for it back. Legally, Spears had to give the 3.5 carat Neil Lane sparkler back since it was a mutual split -- he didn't leave her on his own.

In the meantime, Spears is closing in on a Las Vegas residency, which will bring her $85 million more a year than her $15 million 'X Factor' pay day.

TMZ reports that sources close to Spears say it's a definite yes -- she's just working out the kinks.

"The deal is a go. There are several stipulations that could throw a monkey wrench in the deal, but it's basically done."

The only real questions left surround what Spears will actually be doing in Vegas. She may snag a deal performing nightly, a la Celine Dion, or just making appearances at nightclubs -- or both.

Money can't buy love, but it can really console you pretty well once love takes a powder.
