Beyonce + Jay-Z Celebrated Their Anniversary in Havana Like the Bosses That They Are

Beyonce and Jay-Z are celebrating five years of marital bliss -- a near lifetime by Hollywood standards -- and they rang it in with a bang.

Hov and Bey partied it up in Havana, Cuba, where they were mobbed by commoners because well, it's King Bey and one half of the Throne. That's what happens.

PEOPLE reports that police needed to be called to quarry all the fans who swarmed the power couple at La Guarida, a popular restaurant in the Cuban capital, on Wednesday.

While Jay and Bey are used to the attention, they were with their proud mamas at the time, which likely added to their want for a few extra security measures while they noshed on beans, rice, chicken and fish.

The Associated Press (via Us Weekly) says that excited fans chanted Beyonce's name, prompting her to eventually wave from a balcony. (If we weren't decent with history and geography, we'd compare her to Evita.)

Today (April 4) was their actual anniversary, which they spent walking around. Jay rocked a straw fedora and turquoise polo while Bey slayed in a printed dress and dark braids.

"She was beautiful, without a drop of makeup, very natural," waitress Silvia Fernandez gushed. "What happened with the people was incredible."
