Canadian rapper Belly has been making a lot of noise recently with his new Another Day in Paradise project featuring Lil Wayne, Travis Scott, Kehlani, Waka Flocka, Juicy J and more. Now he sits down with DJ Whoo Kid to talk about getting signed to Jay Z's Roc Nation, writing for Beyonce, nearly getting attacked by a tiger on the set of a video and more.

Belly begins by describing what meeting Hov was like. "He never brought up the business one time in the first conversation we ever had. He was never like, 'Yo here's what I can do for you, here are the budgets.' None of that. We had a life conversation. When I left, I was like, 'That's somebody who's more concerned with me as a brand then just a moment or just a single. That's what really made me feel comfortable going [with Roc Nation]."

Whoo Kid also asks Belly about the time a tiger broke loose on the set of his video for "Don't Be Shy." You can watch that footage below.

Belly had writing credits on Beyonce's LEMONADE album for a song called "6 Inch" featuring The Weeknd, and he told Whoo Kid that was the first record they did together. He's worked with Kehlani too, and they collabed on his upcoming video for "You." "She's always good energy. All of us go through shit, but to me, just knowing her, she's a special soul," says Belly of the West Coast singer.

And of course, Belly had to tell the story of why he pulled out of performing on Jimmy Kimmel's show when he saw Donald Trump was the special guest. "I really felt like I was there to celebrate [Trump's] night, and for me it was an easy decision to make," he remembers.
