Growing up I remember one of the movies I loved to watch was Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Mind you, it was Gene Wilder, who turns 80 today, who played Willy Wonka.

Cut to now when my 6-year-old constantly watches Charlie and the Chocolate Factory starring Johnny Depp. It's funny that he has watched the 'original' before and doesn't seem as interested. With both celebrating birthdays this week coincidentally (Depp turned 50 on Sunday), I must ask the question....who was the better Willy Wonka? Both were strange and quirky, both great actors of their time but you can only choose one....
