50 Cent came out on the winning end of a lawsuit over his 2007 hit song "I Get Money" as the case was recently thrown out by a judge in appeals court.

The suit was initially brought forward in 2010 by Atlanta rapper Tyrone “Young Caliber” Simmons who claimed he purchased the ” I Get Money” instrumental from producer Apex first and had exclusive rights to the beat. In addition to Fif, he was seeking damages from Universal Music Group, Interscope Records, Aftermath Records, G-Unit Records and Shady Records.

A judge later rejected the lawsuit, but Simmons appealed the verdict. According to ABC News, his appeal was thrown out as well in 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan on Friday (Jan. 15). The case was tossed out because Simmons failed to file before the three-year statute of limitations had expired.

This is a win for the "Body Bags" rapper, but the last time Curtis walked out of court for a lawsuit he wasn't as fortunate. Last year, a judge ordered the rap mogul to pay Lastonia Leviston $7 million after he was found responsible for leaking Leviston's (Rick Ross' child's mother) sex tape online, which he still hasn't complied with.

Since then, Fif's assets have come into question. But he has battled those assessments on social media at every turn.

On the music tip, he recently announced he will be dropping his Kanan Reloaded mixtape soon.
